Secrets and Lies in El Salvador

Secrets and Lies in El Salvador is the story of an American woman in war-torn El Salvador. It exposes death and destruction at every turn, but also validates the power of love, and embodies the gift of hope.In her debut book, rising author Sherrie Miranda scripts a story that is not for the faint of heart. Miranda's narrative tightly interweaves fictional characters within historical environs that zeroes in on the plight of the poor … A combination of cliffhanging chapter closures and unexpected scenes, Miranda's novel is certain to be a wonderful addition to Central American history collections. San Diego Book Review MagazineThis novel reads like a personal account … that takes the reader straight into the life of the protagonist as she finds herself. There are elements of the confessional here, suggestions of reportage … I recommend it to all who love good fiction with heart and soul.
