Rising Son

The Rising Son is a story about a teenaged boy named Vinny who has grown up inside a life of crime. Having a mob boss for a father, Vinny has learned a lot of things but love and compassion are not among his life lessons. A murderer and torturer at the age of seventeen he is sent on a job by Tony, the head of "e;the family"e;. It is too little too late when he finds out that the man he killed on that job was innocent and the real culprit is none other than his father. Unshaken by his actions Vinny and his father have a standoff in which Vinny finds out that Tony has planned to make him a made man on his eighteenth birthday. His father, plagued by jealousy and genuine concern for his kid, pleads with Vinny to lead a different life. In the end Vinny's actions change his life, and his fathers life, forever.
