One Last Summer

Fourteen years ago, Imogen Foster left the seaside town of Merehaven—and Rowan Webb—behind. She built a life in Manchester, a successful career and a future that had nothing to do with the boy she once loved. So when her grandmother June dies and leaves Imogen the cottage where she spent her childhood summers, the plan is simple: spend eight weeks clearing it out, sell it, and go home. Then she discovers seven envelopes.June's final request is that Imogen complete each one before deciding what to do with the cottage. Swim at sunrise. Eat chips on the harbour wall. Return to the place of a first kiss. Take an old boat out one final time. And, somehow, Rowan is waiting at the heart of them all. He's older now. So is she. He has a business, a life and fourteen years of his own history. But as one summer brings them closer again, Imogen begins to realise that the story she's believed about their ending may not be true.Because Rowan never wanted her to leave him.And June took a secret to her grave that could change everything Imogen thought she knew about the night they said goodbye. Now Imogen must decide what she actually wants—not what June wanted, not what Rowan wants, and not what the life she built expects of her.Because sometimes leaving is necessary.Coming back has to be a choice.
