The author of these memoirs is Ismail Sidqi Pasha (June 1875 - July 9, 1950). He served as prime minister twice, the first time during the reign of King Fuad, during which the 1923 constitution was abolished and the 1930 constitution was issued. The second time was during the reign of King Farouk, and he tried to form a national ministry in which he would participate.
