Missing

The novel begins with Wu Youbin's promotion. This "e;old"e; policeman, who once laboured in village as educated youth, later became a soldier, a policeman responsible for civil cases and the criminal policeman, and then working in the bureau responsible for logistics, altogether more than 20 years of police service. He finally got a place pair place when he was over 50 years old, although the "e;Comprehensive Case Handling Center over the Years"e; was only a temporary supernumerary department. This department is responsible for sorting out the unsolved case records, filing the files which should be filed, and closing the case that should be closed. If any hidden information or clues are found, it could be handle as appropriate. Yu, the director of the logistics support department, is also the director of this division. Besides Wu Youbin, the deputy director, there are only two police officers in the center: Ai Jing, a liberal arts graduate, and Lu Xiaofei, who was demoted for making mistakes.
