At times raw and confronting, 'Manipulation' doesn't pull any punches. It grabs the reader's attention early on and keeps hold of it until the final chapter. Manipulation is a little bit crime novel and a lot thriller, with a good dose of action and drama to keep the story moving along. At first all seems well, Sarah becomes the devoted wife of a successful analyst and Nick finds the work challenging and satisfying. When Nick starts to experience strange episodes of blankness, though, the demons lurking below the surface start to nibble away at each of them.
