I had been a tool to their dreadful game. I learned early in life that I had to play the game to win and that it came down to either their death or mine. That had been my life as a hostage of the Queen.Until Codero arrived I'd never known the kind touch of a lover, or the soft words of hope that now whispers in my mind. He lit a fire in me. I will never bee the slave to someone else's whims. Not even his. Murianos. He is making sure that my return to the US is a deeper level of hell. The King. The Rook. The Pawn. Even the Queen. All of them played on his board unwillingly. His game was his and his alone to play out. No one truly had a choice in the part they played. To be free of this twisted game, I had to play.  CoderoShe is everything to me. My soul is full, my heart is overwhelmed. My incarceration with the Queen was not how I expected to meet a woman, definitely, not a woman like Piper. Our club was outside of the nightmare as it unfolded with the King, but were now dragged into this new war. We're dealing with a new threat to our MC and my brother is missing. I'm shredded. If it weren't for her in my life, I think I would fall apart. I need to find my brother. I need to keep my mind on the task at hand. We need to survive. I'll do anything to win, survive and learn to live with love in my life after it is all done.  Can we survive?
