He is a British philosopher and economist. He was born in London in 1806 AD. He was the firstborn of a large family that gave birth to nine children. John learned Greek in the fifth year of his life, where he read the works of Herodotus and Plato, and learned Latin at nine, and at twelve he studied Aristotle and Hobbes's logic, and at thirteen he read Ricardo's Principles.
