Historical notes

The book "Historic Diaries" is characterized by the abundance, accuracy of its information and its confinement with a very specific period, which is the period of the expansion of Muhammad Ali Pasha and his occupation of the Levant, describing the wars and internal revolutions that his son Ibrahim Pasha faced the leader of the campaign and his wars of the Ottoman Asaker with the statement of foreign interference in that period. Despite the importance of the information provided by the book, few of the Darssi of this period have known this book, given the lack of copy and loss since ancient times. This book provides a complete picture of Damascus in particular and the Levant in general in the period of Egyptian rule in the mid -nineteenth century. He recalls the Damascus fire and its revolution, then the news of the Ibrahim Pasha campaign on Syria and the news of the local revolutions that faced it, then mentions the Badri Toma incident, and finally the Ottoman Revolution Revolution
