Heart of Everton Inn

An innkeeper afraid of love. A widowed farmer desperate to protect his unusual son. Will their shared hurts heal or destroy each other?Return to Everton for the story hidden in the shadows of The Secret of Drulea Cottage. . . . In a Scottish village where mythical creatures walk amongst humans, the innkeeper's daughter works hard to maintain her neighbors' respect. But between running Everton Inn and protecting her best friend's secret, Adaira's life is filled to the brim, and it's all she can do to keep everything under control. When Adaira's first love returns to town with mysterious new friends, her orderly life begins to crack. Skeletons from her past start creeping out of the closet, skeletons that threaten much more than just her reputation. When recently widowed John Burgess arrives in Everton, he doesn't intend to stay long. Relationships are dangerous, and keeping his distance from the village residents is necessary to protect his son. But the more time he spends there, the more John realizes raising William alone might be more than he can handle. And that Everton Inn holds a magic of its own, one that could keep him there forever if he's not careful. Only together can Adaira and John prevent William from being lost, but that may require more honesty than either of them is willing to give. The Heart of Everton Inn is the second book in a series of clean fantasy romances set in 18th-century Scotland. It can be read before or after The Secret of Drulea Cottage. Each book in the Betwixt the Sea and Shore series explores the love story of a different couple, but the plots are all interconnected.
