How do you find your way in a new country? How do you learn a new language? How do you integrate and put down roots while staying true to your heritage? How do you pass on the precious legacy you brought with you to your children and share your own culture-which is different-with them?In "e;From the Mountains to the Sea,"e; Monika Joensen-Stauss describes in a sensitive, touching, and very personal way what it was like for her to settle in and find her way on the Faroe Islands after moving there from Switzerland. As an active musician and mother of four now-adult children, she gives us a glimpse into her daily life and takes us along on her journey into her new life in the Far North.
