Final Instinct

Joseph Kendrick tugged at the heartstrings of millions of people around the world in May 2013. Wigan captain Emmerson Boyce carried him onto the Wembley pitch as the official Wigan Athletic mascot for that year's FA Cup final. Joseph suffers from a rare condition known as Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia and his family set up a charity - "e;Joseph's Goal"e; - to research and eventually cure NKH. In an attempt to explain NKH to a wider audience, Joe's moving story has been put at the centre of a madcap piece of fiction. A ladies choir is created in a fictional Lancashire town - and the charity they have chosen to support is "e;Joseph's Goal."e; This is the story of the choir members, their friends and families. The action moves from Hollywood to Spain, from Northern England to Pittsburgh. Along the way the ladies and their families become involved in several adventures - ranging from giving birth in the back seat of a car to crossing swords with a psychopathic football manager!The choir fight all the way - sometimes between themselves but more often than not - they fight with the men in their lives. Sometimes the battles are in the boardroom - and bizarrely they even stand up for themselves in the world of Crown Green Bowling! They love, laugh and cry as they deal with all the problems of everyday life - but in addition, they are also working towards one of the biggest night of their lives. But, in the background, their partners have their own stories to tell - and ultimately, those stories lead back to exactly where it all started - Wembley Stadium.
