Ernest L. Boyer

Having served as chancellor of the State University of New York, the United States commissioner of education, and president of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Ernest L. Boyer (1928-1995) was one of the most prominent leaders in the history of American higher education.
