Crystal Falls

The great Cantor Mason, star investigator for the Concordance, is done. His last case went spectacularly, messily bad, and he just needs to get away from it all. Away from the pitying glances. Away from the cruel newsbuzz jokes. Away. He's tired of feeling this way, tired of murders and blood-soaked dreams, just tired. When his partner and friend takes him on a sabbatical journey to see the famed Crystal Falls, deep in the Crystal Mountains, he thinks he's found a way to put it all behind him, once and for all. Then the bodies start piling up, and he is sucked back into investigating another series of bloody crimes. Is it even murder, though? The death of a body is just a minor inconvenience for an immortal. How do you kill an immortal? Or three? And what is going on with Lady Silvestri's maid, anyway? Who is the mysterious storyteller Homer, really? Can Cantor figure it all out before its too late? Get his confidence back? Or will it just be another failure?
