Butterfly King: The Nectar of Dawn

In the kingdom of Aurelion, light is law—and mercy is reserved for those who can see it.Prince Kael Aurelion was born blind, bound by a curse that claims every royal heir before the age of twenty. To the court, he is a miracle gone wrong: the prince who cannot see, the boy who should have died, the echo of a prophecy too dangerous to remember.But Kael has learned to rule through sound and silence, through the tremor of a sword drawn behind him and the breath that follows a lie. He knows every corridor by touch, every heartbeat by name. And yet, when the war at the northern border calls him to the forest of Dampmere, even he cannot hear what waits beneath the ash.In that forest—where light dissolves and monsters walk like memories—Kael meets Lyr, last son of the Butterfly Court, a creature of silver wings and ancient power. Lyr was born of the Eternal Nectar, a living relic said to raise the dead and shatter the balance between the mortal and the divine. To the humans, he is a threat; to Kael, he is the sound that breaks the silence of a lifetime.Their meeting is an accident of prophecy and a defiance of faith. Kael should kill him. Lyr should flee. Instead, one saves the other. What begins as survival becomes something the priests never named—something that feels like trust, like heat, like the first breath after death.But every gift in Aurelion has a price.As war spreads between kingdoms of light and shadow, the court turns against Kael, accusing him of treachery and unholy union. The church demands Lyr's execution. And beneath it all, the river that runs under all rivers begins to stir again, whispering the same name: Kael Aurelion.Bound by a curse and a song older than time, the blind prince and the winged soul must navigate betrayal, prophecy, and the intoxicating pull of a love forbidden by gods and kings alike. Every heartbeat draws them closer—to salvation, to ruin, to the truth of what the Eternal Nectar really is.When banners freeze and blood turns to ash, when the light itself begins to hunger, one of them must fall so the other may rise. And even death will not silence the melody they have awakened.The Butterfly King: The Nectar of Dawn begins the sweeping epic of The Butterfly Throne Saga—a romantasy of war and devotion, of magic and rebirth, of love that endures across lifetimes. For readers who crave lyrical prose, slow-burn intensity, and the ache of enemies who were never meant to love, this is where the story begins."e;When ice devours your banners and your blood tastes of ash—seek the sweetness that remembers you."e;
