Unlock the doors to Rome's deepest secrets, where history, faith, and power collide beneath the ancient stones of the Lateran Hill. In ALPHA 7 MISSION: Eyes Beneath the Lateran Basilica, jpgriffin delivers a spellbinding fusion of espionage, archaeological revelation, and high‑stakes geopolitical drama. The elite Alpha 7 task force is summoned by the newly elected Pope Davini I to confront a discovery that threatens not only the Vatican, but the very foundations of Western civilisation. When a tremor in 2026 exposes a sealed chamber beneath the Lateran Basilica—older than Rome itself—Alpha 7 is thrust into a labyrinth of forgotten corridors, suppressed histories, and a deadly race against the ruthless Eclipse Consortium. The mission unfolds on an epic scale, moving from clandestine Vatican corridors to the shadowed depths beneath Rome, where the echoes of Etruskian rites and imperial decrees linger in the dust. As Alpha 7 uncovers a lost Etruskan library and documents linked to Emperor Claudius, they find themselves entangled in a chain of secrets stretching from ancient Rome to the mysteries of Rennes‑Le‑Château, the legacy of the Cathars, and the enigmatic trail left by Bérenger Saunière. These revelations hold the power to reshape the Church, challenge accepted history, and destabilise the fragile balance of global power.Yet the implications reach far beyond Rome. Hidden within the Lateran archives lies a prophecy pointing to 2044, the year in which Cathar banners are destined to rise once more across the Languedoc—unfurling from the ancient strongholds of Montségur, Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, and the forgotten fortresses that once defied empires. As these symbols reappear, long‑buried truths threaten to ignite a cultural and spiritual reckoning across Europe.Suspense builds relentlessly as betrayals surface, coded messages emerge from unexpected quarters, and Eclipse operatives close in with chilling precision. Every member of Alpha 7—MI6 agents, art historians, cryptographers, Vatican insiders—must confront their own loyalties and identities as the mission tightens around them. Their expertise becomes both their greatest weapon and their deepest vulnerability.Told with cinematic intensity, this novel is more than a spy thriller; it is a journey into the heart of Europe's oldest secrets, where the fate of nations and the legacy of faith hang in the balance. It asks what lies beneath the Lateran, who dares to control the truth, and how far Alpha 7 must go when the past refuses to stay buried.Prepare to be captivated by a story that challenges perception, ignites the imagination, and keeps you turning pages until the final revelation.
